During this momentous 50th Anniversary year of The King’s Academy, we are honored to announce that the Conservatory has been newly named The Smith Family Conservatory of the Arts in honor of a generous gift received from Ms. Jan Smith. Jan is an avid patron of the arts and a tremendous supporter of The King’s Academy.
Jan, whose son Michael ’86 graduated from The King’s Academy and grandson Hunter, a current 5th grade student, has been involved in the school since the early 80’s. Over the years, her generosity has allowed The King’s Academy to rise to the next level of success in excellent Christian Education. This most recent gift will allow The Smith Family Conservatory of the Arts at The King’s Academy to continue its longstanding tradition of excellence and also allow the Conservatory to pursue new ventures of the finest performing arts education in the country. Jan’s generosity gives me the chance to continue to DREAM BIG for the Conservatory as well as for the Theatre Company.
I feel truly blessed that Lord has orchestrated this partnership. Jan’s influence on the Conservatory is more than financial, she truly is personally invested in The King’s Academy and desires to make an eternal impact on the lives of our students. Thank you, Jan for your unconditional generosity. Thank you for validating my work and the work of the many students that I teach and have taught over the past two decades.
Thank you for validating the work of my predecessors at The King’s Academy and the legacy they have left for me to carry on. Your investment allows me to keep sustaining our high level of work, but it also allows me to try new things and reach a higher level of excellence. Your gift has made a lasting impact on me, and I will be forever thankful and grateful that you chose to believe in me and in The King’s Academy Fine Arts.
