TKA Students Attend Top Drama Schools in US

The King’s Academy has a long-standing tradition of placing its graduating seniors in the top collegiate acting programs across the United States.   The Hollywood Reporter recently released an article titled The 25 Best Drama Schools in 2014.  They polled 60 top casting directors and agents to reveal a hierarchy of dramatic prestige and TKA has alumni from several of these top listed institutions.

TKA alumna Tess Soltau ’05 graduated from Carnegie Mellon University (#3 rank) in 2011. Tess has been featured on Broadway playing the character Wednesday in Andrew Lippa’s hugely successful musical The Adam’s Family.  Tess also recently stared in Broadway’s Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim playing opposite Tony Award winner Donna Murphy.

“At The King’s Academy, we are so blessed to see alumni attending some of the top acting schools in the country.  The quality of students in the TKA Fine Arts program is second to none, and a list such as this just reinforces that TKA’s program prepares students to impact their world for Christ – without sacrificing quality at all” comments Artistic Director David Snyder.

The King’s Academy presently has three students attending Tisch School of the Arts (#4 rank): Nicholas Savarese ’10, Joe Coles ‘12, and Sarah Fahey ’12. Connor Saccal ’12 is attending Syracuse University (#17 rank).  TKA alumna Kristin Browne graduated with a master’s degree in acting from the Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University (#15 rank) in 2013.
