2005 Alumni Cast As Glinda In Wicked On Broadway

The King’s Academy congratulates 2005 alumni, Tess Soltau, in being cast as Glinda in the hit musical WICKED on Broadway!

Tess Soltau graduated from The King’s Academy in 2005 after studying extensively in the Fine Arts Department under the direction of David Snyder. She held lead roles in various productions while at TKA including Eponine in Les Miserables and Fanny Brice in Funny Girl. After King’s, Tess went on to study Musical Theatre at the highly esteemed Carnegie Mellon University where she graduated top in her class.

Tess made her Broadway debut playing Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family, followed by her role as Rapunzel in New York City’s Public Theatre production of Into the Woods where she played alongside Amy Adams and Donna Murphy.

After recently wrapping up her run in the new musical, The Diner, by Barry Levinson and Sheryl Crow at Washington DC’s Signature Theatre, Tess opened on February 25th as Glinda in WICKED. David Snyder and his wife Rebecca were able to attend as honored guests for Tess’ opening night performance.

The King’s Academy Fine Arts Department has a long history of professional theatrical productions that leaves audiences coming back year after year.
