DunnMr. Eric Dunn has been the secondary band director at The King's Academy since July of 2000. He previously directed at Lynchburg Christian Academy in Lynchburg, Virginia from 1990 - 1999 and was director at Northampton Middle School from 1988 - 1989. Mr. Dunn received his Bachelor's degree in Music Education from James Madison University in 1988. He holds certification in music from the Association for Christian Schools International and the State of Florida.

Mr. Dunn was a member of the National Champion Norwin High School Marching Band in 1982. He was in County, District and Regional Band as a student in High School and Intercollegiate band in College.  He was also a member of the All-American College Marching Band for Ronald Reagan’s 1985 election.  In 1997 he directed the Lynchburg Christian Academy Marching Band when they won the Bands of America Johnson City Regional Class A Championship. His band also competed in the 1999 Bands of America Grand National Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana.  The King’s Academy Marching Band has been state finalist in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2010.

Mr. Dunn has been recognized twice as an outstanding educator by the Virginia Governor's School. He has also been named to Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.  Mr. Dunn was a guest conductor for Louisa County’s 2008 Celebration of Music in Our Schools.  Mr. Dunn is a member of Phi Mu Alpha professional men's music fraternity as well as the Florida Bandmaster's Association and the Florida Music Educator's Association.
