Marching

The King’s Academy Marching Lions perform at numerous events across Central and South Florida including; the South Florida Fair, holiday parades, football games and competitions. They compete within The Florida Marching Band Coalition, Bands of America and The Florida Bandmaster’s Association. They have qualified for the Florida Class A State Championships since 2002, are a consistent state finalist and have received numerous superior ratings by the Florida Bandmaster’s Association.

The Marching Lions are made up of students from grades 8 – 12.  They are under the direction of Mr. Eric Dunn and Mrs. Kimberlee Aliapoulios.  The band is also blessed with staff members who were alumni of the band.  Our 2010 staff included alumni:  Will Smith ‘06, Brandon Klein ‘09, Jennifer Fortnash ‘09, Mike Kolar ‘10, Ashley Armbruster ’10 and Aaron Lang ’10.  The Lions staff also received technical assistance from Mr. David Skinner.
